Alicia & Steven {engaged}

I had so much fun with Alicia & Steven for their engagement session! We met downtown for some more formal shots before changing into more casual clothing. We found all sorts of amazing shooting locations and it was beautiful outside so it made it even more perfect! We ended up in Old Town Square and Steven just happened to have an umbrella in his car ... you know what that means .... fountain time!! I loved that it went so perfectly with all the bright colors around! After a quick clothing change, we headed over to the Keeper of the Plains Bridge and shot for a while there before heading down to the Hyatt. I somehow talked them into getting into the waterfalls at the Hyatt, despite it being FREEZING!! They were such good sports and so much fun!!

I can not wait for their amazing December wedding! Congrats you two!!

Nichole & Dave {engaged}

It was so fun meeting up with Nichole & Dave for their Engagement Session! They booked their wedding with me quite a while ago and I have visited with Nichole at the different bridal shows and I can not believe it's almost wedding time for them!!!

It was beautiful out the day of their Engagement Session so we headed over to College Hill Park. We stopped for a few shots on the bridge that Dave proposed. It was so sweet seeing them giggle together there! We found a beautiful brick wall and cool old door at the pool house there too! I am a sucker for bricks and old doors!!

We headed downtown for a few more shots and I was so thrilled to talk them into getting into the fountains!! Of course, I would not ask my wonderful clients to do anything that I wouldn't do so I rolled up my pant legs and got in the water with them! It was FREEEEEEEZING!!!!!  They were so much fun and such good sports!!

I can not wait for their October wedding!!! I think I may be just a bit excited to see their ring bearer ... which is a penguin!!! How fun!!

Congrats you two!! Here are a few of my fav's! You can view their full gallery HERE.

Kat & Jason {married 09.17.11}

I was so excited to make the trip to Savannah, GA for one of my long time best friends wedding!

Kat and I have known each other since about 6th grade and have stayed in touch long distance for the past 20 or so years (not showing my age at all there, am I ...). I was thrilled when she called me to tell me the big news and I immediately started planning my trip!

I met Jason on my last visit to Savannah about 4 years ago and my first impression was he is sooo quiet! Needless to say, he has warmed up to me by now and he is genuinely a great guy and a perfect match for one of my besties!!

Their beautiful wedding took place at Jason's parents home about an hour outside of Savannah. If you have never been to Georgia, it is breathtakingly beautiful! I love all the lush greenery and the "tall skinny trees" as I call them. Jason's mom and aunts as well as a few other important people did an amazing job at putting together this outdoor ceremony and reception! They did not miss a detail!

I could not be more happy for Kat and Jason and I know they will have many happy years together!! I also look forward to my next visit to Savannah to see Kat and Jason again and to check out all the amazing city offers!

Here are a few of my fav's from their big day! You can view their full gallery HERE.
Congrats you two!!! Love ya both!!!

Alex, Josh & family {custom creative session}

Last week I met up with Alex, Josh, Grace and their new addition, baby MacKenzie. The weather was beautiful and baby had a full belly! We were able to get some cute ones along with a few baby cray face shots too! I still love the crying ones! We went to a nice shady area outside and finished up with a few shots of the entire family and then some of them all separately.

Congrats Alex & Josh on your new addition!

Melissa & Loren {married 08.06.11}

Melissa & Loren are married! What a beautiful day it was! We started off at Hillside Christian Church which was the location of their amazing ceremony.

Melissa's gown from I Do Bridal was just gorgeous! Of course, she had amazing shoes too and I am a sucker for amazing shoes!! Their colors were Tiffany blue, black & white. I love this color combo! It just oozes romantic!

The guys tuxes were from Men's Warehouse. They were looking sharp! The amazing flowers were provided by a family friend. They were beautiful!!

We stepped out before the ceremony to do some fun shots with the girls while the guys were in their dressing room. They all looked amazing! Next, it was the guys turn! They all went back into their dressing rooms to do a little last minute touch up before the wedding. We snagged the rings for a few fun shots too! The rings are very special to Melissa & Loren because they were made from a grandparent's ring. It's always nice to see so much thought go into something so special!

The ceremony was beautiful! The bride and groom assembled a unity cross and shared in a holy communion before they were announced as husband and wife!

We had time for all the family formals before heading to Mid-America All Indian Center for the reception. We stopped outside for a few fun wedding party photos and some lovely photos of the new Mr. & Mrs. before they were announced to their guests.

The DJ, which was also a family friend announced the entire wedding party as well as the bride & groom into their reception! The awesome cake, which was made by the bride's mother, was beautiful! The groom's mother made the KU inspired groom's cake! They are so lucky to have such talented people!

After the wedding party enjoyed their dinner provided by Hog Wild BBQ, they listened while the best man and maid of honor said their heartfelt toasts. The bride and groom then shared in their first dance as husband and wife followed by the father/daughter and mother/son dance. It's always so sweet to watch the love fill the room during these dances!

The bouquet and garter toss was next followed by the dollar dance! All the guests were then invited to join the couple on the dance floor and everyone was having a blast!

We ended the evening with a few more night shots of just the bride and groom. I have to say this was one of the smoothest weddings I have ever shot! Everything was actually ahead of schedule, everyone was in great spirits and it made for an amazing day! Congrats you two!!

Special thanks to Jessica Noelle Rozof for an amazing job as my second photographer and assistant for the day!

Amber & Tommy {married 07.15.11}

I was so happy to share in Amber & Tommy's wedding day! We started off at Lux Nail Studio where the girls were getting pampered! The groom was busy getting ready at his parents house with his adorable daughter.

Amber headed back to her house to get ready with help from her mom. Her dress from David's Bridal was just perfect for an outdoor summer wedding!

Amber & Tommy decided to do a First Look. If you have never heard of this, its simple. Its a special time prior to the ceremony for just the Bride and Groom (we are standing from afar capturing this for you!). This is the WOW moment for the couple without the stress of 100 guests watching in the background! The emotion and expressions from a First Look usually are more natural and raw than during the ceremony. This also gives you plenty of time to do your formal photographs prior to the ceremony as well.

After the First Look, it was time for the ceremony! Amber had her beautiful bouquet from Susan's Floral. The joy of the day filled the air!

We had some time to do some more amazing photos of just the Bride and Groom before starting the reception. Amber and Tommy then cut their awesome cake and enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife followed by the father/daughter and mother/son dance. Tommy also had a quick dance with his daughter. The bouquet and garter was tossed before making their getaway!

We spent a little time in Old Town playing in the fountains before the newlyweds called it a night. It was an amazing day for an amazing couple! Congrats Tommy & Amber!

Here are a few of my fav's from their wedding! You can view their entire gallery HERE.

Ashly & Troy {engaged}

Last weekend I had a great time meeting up with Ashly & Troy. It was so hot outside that we waited until later in the evening for their session ... it was still hot! They were both such good sports for sticking with me while we went on a hike though the park. Although Troy does not necessarily like the act of getting his photo taken (like most guys) he did an amazing job! They are such a sweet couple with an awesome sense of humor! I can't wait for their beautiful October wedding!

I had such a fun time with Amber & Tommy for their Engagement Session this past weekend!

They brought along Tommy's adorable daughter and their two dogs! We started out in Heritage Square Park which will be the beautiful location of their wedding here in just a couple of weeks!

It was so very hot outside so I was able to talk them into getting into the water to "cool off" while I got some amazing shots of the two of them! They are so very much in love!

We ended the session with getting completely drenched in the fountains!! It's always a fun time and it gave us some much needed coolness!

Congrats you two!! Looking forward to your gorgeous wedding!!

The Brooks Family {family session}

Last weekend I got to spend some time with some of my most favorite people! The Brooks family were my neighbors growing up and we were together all the time riding bikes, climbing trees and generally just getting into trouble!

Tracy is one of my very best friends and also a wonderful assistant for weddings! Her parents are so sweet! Her brother Daniel was in from Washington state for a visit so they thought it would be the perfect time to round everyone up for some family photos! Her older brother DJ and his wife Darla and their two cutie boys kept me on my toes! The poor boys wanted nothing to do with the photos .. they were ready for dinner! Sounds normal to me! :)

I had such a great time hanging with you guys! Here are some of my fav's! You can view their full gallery HERE.

Carolyn & Scott {6.10.11}

Carolyn & Scott are married! What a beautiful day it was for their wedding! We are pleased to showcase our new blog sneak peek look with their amazing wedding photos!

We met up with the girls at Eric Fisher Salon that afternoon. They were getting all dolled up for the big day! After they were done, we met with the entire wedding party at Westlink Christian Church which was the location of the ceremony. They all got dressed and ready to go! Carolyn's gorgeous dress is from Simplistic Bride and the tuxes were from Tuxedo Junction.

Carolyn & Scott decided to do a First Look. If you have never heard of this, its simple. Its a special time prior to the ceremony for just the Bride and Groom (we are standing from afar capturing this for you!). This is the WOW moment for the couple without the stress of 150 guests watching in the background! The emotion and expressions from a First Look usually are more natural and raw than during the ceremony. This also gives you plenty of time to do your formal photographs prior to the ceremony as well.

After doing some fun photos of just the bride & groom followed by the family formals, it was time for the ceremony! The ceremony was beautiful and the room was filled with such joy! The wonderful floral decor along with the amazing wedding party flowers were provided by The Flower Factory. The groom's nephews did an amazing job playing guitars for the ceremony along with Westlink's pianist.

After the ceremony, a lovely limo from Artistic Limousine was waiting to whisk them away to Rolling Hills Country Club for their reception. We were able to take some amazing photos out on the course as well as up by their beautiful landscaping before heading into dinner. Carolyn & Scott enjoyed a private dinner in the dining room while their guests shared the delicious buffet provided by Rolling Hills.

After dinner, the couple was announced to their guests and shared in their first dance as husband and wife. You could just see the love these two shared! They then cut into the beautiful cake provided by Cherri's Bakery. Several heartfelt toasts followed. I have heard many toasts at many weddings and none of them have touch me like Carolyn's. I don't think there was a dry eye in the building! They truly deserve each other and all the happiness they will share!

Carolyn & Scott, it was such a pleasure spending the day with you and your family! I wish you all the happiness in the world! Congrats you two!!

Mike & Mandi {06.04.11}

It was such a beautiful day for Mike & Mandi's wedding! Their children and close family joined for the special day!

The ceremony was held at Mandi's dad's ranch near Rago, KS. They had it all decorated for an amazing outdoor ceremony. The chairs were provided by Action Tents. The girls were inside getting all dolled up for the big day! Mandi's gorgeous dress was provided by Dress Gallery. Mandi's amazing flower arrangements were made by her Stepmother, Sister and Grandmother. They were beautiful!

We spent a little time doing some nice photos of Mandi. Once the girls were back inside, the guys finished getting ready and we were able to do some nice photos of just Mike as well. They all looked amazing!

Mike and Mandi are both KU fans so for the proposal, Mike wrote Mandi a note (in red and blue of course) asking if she would marry him. It was so sweet!

The ceremony was beautiful and the breeze picked up just enough to cool things off a bit. After the ceremony, we had plenty of time for the family formals then some fun time with just the couple! We had to take a couple of shots by Mandi's dad's beautiful car. The horses were also good sports for a photo op! It's just not a ranch wedding without some sort of big tractor!

Mandi had a nice meal with their close family with dinner provided by Mandi's Uncle Mark, followed by a fun-filled reception at the Farm Bureau building in Cheney, KS. Their yummy cake was provided by Cakes by Carrie. The newly married couple and their guests danced the night away with music and fun provided by All World Entertainment.

Congrats you two!! Here are a few of my fav's from their amazing day! You can view their full gallery HERE.

Mary & Matt's wedding was just beautiful! The girls arrived at Mary's parents home after getting all dolled up at Salon Uruku. Mary's dress from I Do Bridal was gorgeous! Her light gold shoes added the perfect touch! Their wedding colors of onyx and pearl looked amazing! Matt and the rest of the guys got ready at The Inn at Tallgrass before heading to the Church of the Blessed Sacrament for the wedding.

Mary & Matt decided to do a First Look.

Mary & Matt had a full mass ceremony that was just beautiful! They were sent off with bubbles and well wishes before heading to Tallgrass Country Club for their reception. The amazing limo was provided by All Class Limo.

We arrived and started off with some fun photos of the wedding party and just the couple on the golf course! The weather held out perfectly for us and the overcast clouds were amazing for getting those shots with the bright green course!

The wedding party were announced into the reception room that was filled with their family and friends. Their amazing cake from Artistic Cakes was the first stop for the newly married couple! The couple started off a delicious dinner provided by Tallgrass Country Club.

The father of the bride, the father of the groom as well as the best man and maid of honor said a few heartfelt toasts before the couple shared their first dance as husband and wife. The father/daughter and mother/son dance followed. The beautiful bridal bouquet by Susan's Floral was tossed along with the garter.

Leah & Cody {5.14.11}

Leah and Cody are married! I was so pleased to be able to spend their beautiful day with them! Everything was just perfect! They are such a fun, sweet and loving couple!

We started out at Northside Chruch of Christ which also was the ceremony venue. The girls were busy getting ready with hair and makeup. Leah had a gorgeous satin dress from The White Dress here in Wichita. Her shoes were amazing too! Her mom, 7 bridesmaids and 2 jr bridesmaids helped her get into her dress and she looked amazing!

They guys were just down the hall getting ready themselves. The handsome tuxes from Tuxedo Junction all looked great! Cody spent a little extra time making sure he looked perfect for his beautiful bride to be. He had a surprise in store for the ceremony as well!

The amazing flowers from The Flower Factory smelled the room and were so beautiful!

Once the ceremony started, you could just feel the love in the air! There were smiles and laughs throughout the entire church! The couple did a unity cross during the ceremony which will be a beautiful piece to display in their home. Cody shared his awesome voice during the ceremony with a song to his new wife! It gave me chills, it was so beautiful! After the vows and exchange of rings, the couple sealed the deal with a kiss ... but first, a couple of Cody's groomsmen helped him with a spritz of breath freshener and a straightening of the tie!

We took some time for just the Bride & Groom to go to the Keeper of the Plains area and do a few special photos before heading to the reception. They are adorable! They are so easy to photograph and just look amazing!

We met up with the wedding party at Wichita Botanica Gardens, which was also the reception venue. We did a few fun wedding party shots and a few more of just the newlyweds before heading into the reception.

The wedding party along with the Bride & Groom were announced and started the dinner. The amazing food by Ray's Country Side Catering was ready to go and sooo yummy! There were a few heartfelt toasts by a few of the wedding party members before the cake cutting. The amazing cake from WOW Cakes was gorgeous! The bar was provided by Xclusive Bartending.

Scott from Accent Mobile DJ started the dancing with the Bride & Groom's first dance followed by the Father/daughter and Mother/son dances. The bouquet and garter toss was next followed by a dollar dance. The happy couple and their guests danced the night away!

Last weekend I was so lucky to attend the beautiful wedding of Abby & Tyler! The day was perfect! Their wedding colors were a modern mix of yellow, silver and black. The weather held out for us and the chance of thunderstorms gently turned into sunshine!

I met up with the girls at Fringe Salon where they were getting all dolled up! We then went on to the ceremony and reception venue. All of the events for the day took place at Abode Venue. Abby and her family, including Tyler's aunt Lisa made sure everything looked perfect! Abby made most of the decor herself! Abby's bouquet along with the bridesmaids bouquets were provided by Dillons Floral.

Abby and Tyler decided to do a First Look. If you have never heard of this, its simple. Its a special time prior to the ceremony for just the Bride and Groom (we are standing from afar capturing this for you!). In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, Abby and Tyler did an amazing cupcake stand! The cupcakes were provided by Sweet Treats by Jodie. I personally tried the red velvet and it was amazing!! Once the wedding party was announced, they started the dinner line. Blue Moon Catering provided the food.

The best man and maid of honor made a heartfelt toast during dinner. After dinner, Abby and Tyler got to play The Newlywed Game with the help of Bill from Accent Mobile. Behnaz & Mohammad {03.19.2011}

I recently shared in the beautiful wedding day of Behnaz & Mohammad. These two are so much fun!! I could literally shoot photos of them all day long!!!
They had a beautiful traditional Persian ceremony that was held at the bride's parents home. Everything was stunning! It was so interesting to learn all about their culture and the symbolism of all the items on their wedding spread. The home was decorated with care and everyone was having a great time!
The room where Behanz got ready was beautiful as well with floor to ceiling windows that created the most amazing natural light. We defiantly got some gorgeous images of Behnaz in her wedding gown!
The bride's dress from The Gown Gallery in Kansas City was just amazing! The smell of fresh flowers from The Flower Factory filled the home! The ceremony was beautiful with a few humorous parts as well.
We had plenty of time after the ceremony to play around town! We got some amazing images of the happy couple and they got a chance to relax before the reception.
The reception was held at the Hyatt Regency Wichita. The couple had a beautiful entrance by being welcomed by all of their guests.
After dinner, their amazing wedding cake by WOW Cakes made a grand entrance! It was covered in glittery icing and it just shimmered! They did a traditional knife dance before they could cut the cake. It was so fun to watch!
Their first dance as husband and wife along with the father/daughter and mother/son dance were beautiful. We had one more chance to head out for some more photos of just the bride and groom! We got some lovely night shots and even a few with the "supermoon" before the couple went back into their reception to dance the night away with all their guests and music provided by Deejay Omid! They sure do know how to party!!!
Congrats Behnaz & Mohammad!!!!
Here are a few (okay, a ton) of my fav's from their day! You can see their full gallery HERE.

We started off the day at the Wichita Marriott, Corporate Hills. The staff was so nice and everything was just perfect! The stylists and makeup artists from Fantastic Sam's, Wichita joined us for the fantastic hair and makeup work on the ladies. They did an amazing job! All the ladies loved their looks!! We has some gorgeous floral arrangements and gift bag flowers from The Flower Factory. The beautiful smell of fresh flowers filled the room and the arrangements were adorable in the shape of margarita glasses! Such a perfect touch for a Diva Event!

Behnaz & Mohammad {engagement}

This past weekend I met up with Behnaz and Mohammad for their Engagement Session. It was pretty chilly out so we were trying to think up shoot locations. Behnaz and Mohammad first met about 8 years ago while working in a college bookstore so naturally the perfect location came to mind ... the library! These two are so much fun! We were having such a hard time being quiet!

Behnaz is currently in dental school while Mohammad is an lawyer. They are having a traditional Persian wedding ceremony in March. They are such a beautiful couple! I'm completely excited to share in their special day!
